Jakarta Provincial Government cooperates with West Bangka Regency, Bangka Belitung for cow breeding and fattening.
I hope West Bangka is able to assist us supplying meat for Jakarta
The cooperation is signed under memorandum of understanding (MoU). West Bangka will prepare 14 ha of land and feed. Meanwhile, Jakarta Provincial Government will prepare the cow and human resource.
Jakarta Governor, Basuki T. Purnama hopes the cooperation will run good.

Basuki appoints Dept. of Maritime, Agriculture and Food Tenacity (KPKP) and PD Dharma Jaya as the implementer. The cooperation includes the breeding center, fattening, feeding, and preparing cow.
Basuki added the cooperation can be widened to another sector such as fish cultivation.
“We want to cooperate with other regions too,” he added.
West Bangka Regent, Parhan Ali, admitted the cooperation is aimed to supply meat for both regions.
“500 cows to be managed there. It’s still the first stage,” he stated.
Previous cooperation was made with East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) and Lampung.
